Alecia is a Toronto based director, music director, actor and vocalist. She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre, with a minor in Spanish and Dance. She later continued her training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. 

 

Alecia has made theatre throughout Canada. She is passionate about creating and telling stories that break boundaries and empower women. Her work on Storybook Theatre’s production of Newsies won her the Broadway World Calgary Regional Award for Best Music Direction in 2023. Some of Alecia's other directing credits include assistant directing The Red Priest (Guild Festival Theatre), directing Street Hamlet (Emergence Theatre), and Light (Emergence Theatre). Her Music Director credits include The Music Man (Storybook Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Three Ships Collective) and Into the Woods Jr. (Little Theatre Etobicoke). Alecia has performed with Globus Theatre, Primestock Theatre, 4Score Productions and more. 

 

When not creating art for the stage, Alecia is an avid baker and considers herself a  Tiramisu connoisseur. Some of her favourite hobbies include reading, yoga and obsessing over all things Lord of the Rings!
